Matt Clutterham brings over two decades of expertise in connecting some of the world’s biggest brands with people through innovative branding and live experiences. As the founder of Q Branch, the creative consultancy behind the TOUGH TO TALK website, Matt applies his extensive background in strategic communication to champion mental health initiatives. A dedicated family man, he is the father of a teenage daughter and two stepdaughters and revels in the joys of the outdoors, gourmet cooking over fire, and a good cup of coffee.
Why TOUGH TO TALK?
Matt’s commitment to TOUGH TO TALK stems from both his professional ethos of using his skills for the greater good and his personal journey through depression, a breakdown, and the profound impact of losing his mother to cancer in his early thirties. These experiences, though challenging, reinforced his belief in the power of support—a lifeline he acknowledges every man deserves. His own struggles with mental health never reached the point of suicide, thanks to the critical support he received, which he passionately believes should be accessible to all men.
At TOUGH TO TALK, Matt is dedicated to breaking down the barriers that prevent men from seeking help. Through his strategic insight and personal advocacy, he aims to ensure that the charity’s messaging resonates deeply and widely, fostering a culture where men feel safe to express vulnerability and seek help. Matt’s vision is clear: to leverage his professional acumen and personal experiences to drive change and empower men to lead healthier, more open lives. Together with TOUGH TO TALK, he is working to create a world where no man has to suffer in silence.
