Hailing from the Midlands, I live with my beautiful wife, wonderful daughter and our crazy, lovable hound, Huxley.
As an Administration Professional (predominantly an Executive Assistant), I have been fortunate enough to work within a variety of sectors, each offering unique challenges and opportunities that have helped me grow both personally and professionally and have taught me resilience, adaptability and the value of connecting with people.
Mental health is a passion that has threaded throughout my life, shaping my perspective, and driving my commitment to help others. Whether through my own personal experiences, supporting loved ones or engaging in meaningful conversations, I’ve seen firsthand the profound impact that mental health can have on individuals and families. I have been a Mental Health First Aider for over 7 years.
So why Tough to Talk?
Every suicide close to me has been a man.
These losses have not only left an indelible mark on my heart but have driven me to want to honour their memories by helping to create a world where men feel safe to express their pain, seek support and know they are not alone. Society’s expectations for men to be stoic, strong, and unemotional can prevent them from seeking the help they desperately need. Being part of the Tough to Talk team allows me to help break down these harmful stigmas, advocate for better mental health resources, and create a compassionate space where men feel seen, heard, and valued.
