I am currently working as Finance Director at TalkTalk. I am accountant with over 11 years’ experience in the Telecoms Industry.

I am from Wigan in Greater Manchester. I am a very proud father of my 7-year-old daughter, have a big family and a great group of friends all of which I spend a lot of my time with. Big Rugby League fan (Wigan Warriors) and love to travel and go on little trips whenever possible.

Why Tough to Talk?

Why Tough to Talk? Exactly that, the reason I wanted to join such a charity is because it really can be Tough to Talk and open up when dealing with underlying mental health issues which affects millions of men across the UK.

Tough to Talk resonated with me as I have personally had previous struggles which not a lot of people know but I was fortunate enough to come through this because I had a close circle of family and friends I could speak too. I have also dealt with loss of friends and family who have also struggled in this way – one life lost is one too many!

Often it can be said that to talk about feelings and emotions is weak – IT IS NOT WEAK! I would personally like to be on the journey with Tough to Talk to scale this fundamental message and end the stigma to preserve the lives of people across the UK.
